This website is devoted to the poetry of Gilchrist Haas. It features online versions of Haas’s eight books of poetry, in addition to a book of selected poems (The Man in the Poem), a book of prose essays (A Lehusa Be (AH-lay-HOO-zuh-BAY: The Prose Writings of Gilchrist Haas), and several additional items.

May 2024. Publication announcement: Haas has just published six book written in the 1990s and early 2000s and collected in two volumes: Third Nature: The First Three Books of Gilchrist Haas features Pages in a Second Round, Molly's Song (and Other Poems), and Baron, All Too Baron; No True North: Three Book-length Poems includes Chronicling the Era of Common Fun, Reading Adorno: Book One, and The Stage with No True North. Both volumes include author's prefaces, and "Haas at Forty," an essay written in 2005, is included as an appendix to Third Nature.
January 2024. Publication announcement: Haas has just published The Era of Common Fun: Shorter Selected Poems, which presents a chronological survey of Haas’s short poems from 1990 to 2023 and concludes with an autobiographical essay, “Haas at Sixty,” about Haas’s early development as an aspiring poet.
Haas’s seventh and eight books (Opus Seven: Two Small Books in the Major and Minor Modes and The Emerald Gong (and Other Poems)) are also available in print. His ninth book (And Dragons in the Crease) will be released in 2024.
June 2022. A separate section of the website is now devoted to the Piano Videos of Andy Jones, the real-world incarnation and amanuensis of Gilchrist Haas.
