- for Vashelle Nino -
In the first house my body learned how best to act.
House Two was crammed with all that I possess.
I pondered the codes in Three ‘til I had them cracked.
Mom comforted me in Four with her soft caress.
The fifth house was the best – all love and games.
I cherished in there my highest and lowest aims!
In House Six I labored aloft on duty’s beams,
then found in Seven the girl of my dreams.
We hid in Eight, where we tugged on each other’s seams.
In Nine my view became altogether more vast.
Eternity itself I could outlast!
In Ten I acquired repute for my finer deeds.
My hopes in Eleven shook hands with others’ needs.
Having accrued a heap of karmic dread,
I renewed myself in House Twelve and went to bed.
