How much can the horizon stand of your rages?
The doors to the past are all firmly locked.
What’s left is no more than what’s here in these pages.
That other place you desire? The entrance is blocked.
I feel the same. You can tell by my look.
And I, as a reader, am astounded to know
that you’ve had the same experience with this book.
After about page 1000 or so
you arrive at a spot where the pages are torn,
which causes you to rant like a pig in a sty.
So when you get to where the text is worn
it’s best just to close the book without asking why.
Where the recent past ends, the darker one begins.
So put on your boots and stretch out your shins.
But please – no futile kick in the pants of the sky.
