Of all the fine forms of stupidity
we’ve seen in these past few months
(and ah, the breathless rapidity
with which they’ve all flourished at once!),
‘twould be hard to say which one of them all
is truly the most absurd.
This candidate here has quite the gall,
if we can take it at its word.
It yokes together two quite unbrotherly
concepts: “teachers” and “guns.”
LaPierre strokes them both quite motherly
in a speech that rather stuns
the survivors of the latest catastrophe,
gathered in DC.
This worm beats Trump in sheer bastardy,
dissing logic as “too pc.”
“This pointless bloodshed would end today
if teachers were armed to the hilt.
We’ll make them an offer. If they say nay,
we’ll know where to pin the guilt!”
