How odd it seems to not have a clue
and to lack one with such panache!
He seems a bit unsure of himself
and looks for his crony DeVos.
She nods back assent exuding wealth,
reassuring her phony boss.
Who was it that said, if you tell a lie
a hundred times, ‘twill be true?
Prosperity’s that proverbial pie
with never enough to chew
unless you’re the one with the biggest slice.
“The others, I’m sure, have crumbs!
There ain’t no need for me to be nice
or to share my baker with bums!”
Schools flush with cash? Just another bluff
to add to his stack on the stage.
But something is flush, so that’s true enough.
